As an art director, I found myself drawn to words just as much as visuals, unexpectedly igniting my love for copywriting. Radio became my playground for storytelling - here are a few I’ve written.*
* I can't take all the credit, I've been lucky to work with great copywriters who helped with the spots below.
No Excuses Radio
There is a strong link between sporting events and physical and emotional domestic violence. We wanted to bring this to the attention of the public to generate both awareness and funding for Shine’s No Excuse’s program, which is dedicated to the rehabilitation of abusers.
To do this we created a radio campaign that demonstrates the severe consequences of a disappointing sporting result. To get our message across, we used the familiar sound of sports commentary as our vehicle, teaming up with well-known rugby commentators to ensure credibility.
Game Of Thronopoly
Launching the new Game Of Thrones themed Monopoly at The Warehouse, we treated the Throne fans with a classic commentary around the board.
Beckstravaganza Radio
To promote the Oceania Allstars Football game live on Prime TV, we decided to create an entertaining radio spot on what the game is really about – David Beckham.

Rebel Sport Christmas Radio
While getting briefed in for an ‘every day’ Christmas retail radio spot for Rebel Sport, I decided it could be a little more interesting than your standard price and product radio. So the team and I created a radio campaign that is keeping in tune of Rebel’s sporting nature and the season of giving.
Regretgasm
When NZ Girl discovered 96% of NZ women have had unprotected consensual sex, they wanted to create a low-fi campaign encouraging women to enjoy safe sex.
Introducing regretgasm.
An orgasm from unprotected, yet consensual sex that may later result in feelings of regret and sorrow, following contraction of a sexually transmitted disease, or an unexpected pregnancy.
